About Strength & Risks

Why this IPO looks interesting

Key positives investors may want to consider before applying.

01

Top 10 renewable IPP, diversified portfolio

The company comes in the top 10 renewable IPPs with 10,247 MWp of capacity, predominantly comprising premium tariff WSH/FDRE projects with a 96.80% tender conversion rate.

02

Land bank and grid connectivity

A surplus land bank of 12,000+ acres and grid connectivity of 1,688 MW unallocated make future capacity expansion less risky compared to others.

03

Fixed-tariff long-term PPAs

97.68% capacity exposure to creditworthy off-takers on fixed tariffs (average ₹3.64/kWh) for the quickest receivable cycle in the sector.

04

What investors should watch closely

Risk factors and possible pressure points around the offer.

01

Concentration risk of off-takers

Two off-takers (GUVNL and MSEDCL) accounted for 86.06% of FY26 revenue, which was 97% in FY24. Any disruption in these off-taker relationships could lead to significant earnings risk.

02

High leverage

Debt/equity was at 3.77x (FY26) against 1.54x (FY24) due to high capital expenditure on capacity building, exposing it to refinancing and interest rate risks.

Ahead of scheduled delivery

Projects completed 147 days ahead of schedule on an average with 99%+ plant/grid availability in FY26.

05

De-risked supply chain

Direct procurement (GW of First Solar, 200 WTGs from Envision) and exemption from ALMM List-II secure the entire portfolio from increasing module prices.

Poor track record of execution

Several projects did not meet the SCOD target in FY26 (Kite, Beam Eight, and Beta), leading to the payment of “under protest” liquidated damages of ₹6.72 crore.

04

Emerging business of WSH / FDRE

The company has no commissioning of WSH or FDRE projects, even as they constitute 9.4% and 25.1%, respectively, of under-construction capacity.

05

Legal dispute

Ongoing arbitration and SEBI case filed against the company for coercive practices of the erstwhile CEO, claiming compensation of ₹79.21 crore and allotment of 75.8 lakh equity shares.
